Yesterday we launched Sessions — a website where you can watch videos of top-notch talks from developer meetups.
To date, our production team has recorded, produced, and transcribed around 50 talks by 50 inspiring speakers, and we’re expanding. If you run an event or know one that needs recording, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Why we built Sessions
As developers ourselves, we believe that talks are powerful. They educate us, they inspire us, they even entertain us. They’re a top-notch way to keep up-to-date with new technologies, and sometimes start important conversations that push our industry forward. Trouble is, many insightful talks go unseen by the wider community, as most meetups simply don’t have the bandwidth to record their events. We wanted to solve this problem, so we built Sessions.
How Sessions Works
At Pusher, we assembled a production team to record, produce, transcribe, and caption talks at the meetups we partner with.
Every month we show up to record the meet up. A few days later, the videos along with their transcripts and captions show up on Sessions. We then share the videos in our favourite communities and newsletters to give the talks and by extension, speakers and events the exposure we think they deserve.

If you run a meetup or know one that needs recording professionally, we would love to hear from you. It doesn’t matter where in the world you are — as long as you’re passionate about your community, we would love to partner with you.
