Introduction

We’re thrilled to announce that for the entire month of May, we’ve partnered with DEV.to to sponsor the first ever DEV Contest. ?

We’re looking for makers, builders, and hackers to create interesting apps, projects, and hacks using the Pusher Channels realtime API. ? + ⚡️ + ✨ = ?

Channels allows you to create awesome realtime features for your apps with just a few lines of code. It powers companies large and small – from one person side projects to global enterprises that reach millions of people every day like the New York Times, MailChimp or DraftKings, and, of course, DEV.to ! ?

The DEV contest starts on the 1st May and you have until the 25th of May to submit your hacks.
For the most innovative or interesting hacks or projects we’re offering a few sweet prizes ?, including TWO GRAND PRIZES ? – one awarded by a panel that consists of DEV and Pusher folks, and select DEV community members, and the other grand prize is entirely based on the DEV community likes and reactions – i.e. ❤️ and ?!
We’ll also be giving out prizes to the 10 runner-ups. We will award a combination of prizes supporting learning and making – such as Safari Books Online subscription, Udacity courses, and AdaFruit store credit, as well as DEV shop coupons, and some sweet sweet Pusher swag. ? ? ?

For more details and information on how to compete check out the original announcement on DEV.to.
